Workspace

From WikiProject • Jump to navigation

The Workspace was a single, connected workspace conceived for the AI era by the Perhaps team for the AI era. It had an infinite canvas with a browser that allowed users to access all their existing web tools, and an assistant that would understand the work going on in each of them. Users could ask the AI assistance for summarizing, drafting, categorizing, answering questions and more. An important part of the workspace was to go beyond the chatbot and explore new ways of interacting with AI.

Perhaps Workspace interface

Overview[edit]

The Workspace was envisioned as a digital canvas where users could collaborate with AI agents to brainstorm ideas, generate content, and manage projects. It integrated various AI capabilities into a single interface, streamlining workflows and enhancing user experience.

Canvas Experience[edit]

Visual Interface

The Workspace featured a visual canvas where users could arrange and connect different elements, such as text, images, and AI agents.

The canvas resembled the experience of working alongside an AI. Like sharing screens in multi-player mode, the user gets a clearer grasp of what's going on, can work on tasks in parallel, easily give context, and even edit results directly.

Collaboration Tools

Multiple users could collaborate on the same canvas in real-time, fostering teamwork and collective creativity. The platform supported features like shared cursors, commenting, and version control.

Browser Integration[edit]

The Workspace seamlessly integrated with web browsers, allowing users to import content directly from websites and online resources.

Web Clipper

A built-in web clipper enabled users to capture specific sections of web pages and add them to the canvas. This feature facilitated quick and efficient content curation.

Link Previews

The platform automatically generated previews for web links, providing users with a visual summary of the linked content. This enhanced the overall browsing and research experience.

Novel Interactions[edit]

The Workspace introduced novel interaction paradigms that leveraged AI to enhance user experience.

Context-Aware Recommendations

The platform provided context-aware recommendations for AI agents and content, suggesting relevant tools and resources based on the user's current task.

Browser control

The Workspace had a powerful experimental feature, where the AI could directly control the browser.
